35+ years career as a strategist, fund & portfolio manager as well as derivatives trader in major institutions.
Gonzague started his career in Paris as a fixed income fund manager in the early 80s, before setting-up and leading Pinatton’s futures department. He later joined Fimagest as head of the futures department and manager of a proprietary trading book. He also launched and managed the first futures fund (FCIMT) approved in France.
From 1991 to 2001, he founded and managed Technical Futures, a CTA and advisory company to dozens major institutions and banks, such as Deutsche Bank London, Morgan Stanley New York, Société Générale Paris, etc…
In the last 20 years, Gonzague held several positions as a global-macro strategist and long-only equity or absolute return Fund Manager at GIM AM, Sarasin Bank and TF AM. During this time, he also spent five successful years in the City of London as a Dresdner Kleinwort internal macro strategist and vanilla options proprietary trader, before becoming a portfolio manager at the renowned Citadel Hedge-Fund.
